Dr. Betsy Taylor, Executive Director of the Livelihoods Knowledge Exchange Network (LiKEN), was invited to the Geographical Sciences Committee of the National Academy of Sciences on May1st, 2019to discuss the effects of energy transition on opportunities in rural America. Dr. Taylor, a key collaborator of the Appalachian Land Study, spoke about the complex history of land and resource governance in Appalachia and the ecological and cultural assets that are driving energy transition in the region today, including the Appalachian Land Study.
